LEED Compliant Recycling Plan
We will help you setup a plan to recover and recycle a high-percentage of your debris and waste from the jobsite.
Environmental concerns are
addressed as necessary.
Aging asbestos or materials that fall
under the category of “hazardous waste” are removed
and disposed of safely as regulations require.
- Concrete/Masonry Block – Separated
on site and transported to a licensed facility where the
material is processed and recycled into aggregate for new
concrete and road packing.
- Metal – Separated on-site and
transported to a metal recycler where it is further sorted
and processed from recycling into new metal products.
Construction and Demolition Debris –
Transported to the a licensed C&D transfer facility,
where it is sorted into appropriate categories. Our C&D
transfer partners have a well-documented record of achieving
an 80% recycling rate with only 20% of material further
transported to landfills.
- Wood – ground into wood chips and
used as an alternative fuel source.
- Sheetrock – separated from paper
and used to make fertilizer.
- Cardboard and Paper – Recycled
into the making of cardboard and packaging products.
- Fluorescent Light Bulbs – Normally
boxed on-site and disposed of through the general contractor
by a lawful, hazardous waste handler.
- Light Fixture Ballasts – Normally
put into drums by the general contractor and disposed of
by a lawful, hazardous waste hauler.
